why did batman join the jla?
September 27th, 2008
he’s supposed to be an urban legend, that everyone fears and no one can confirm exists.
so why would he join the jla? why would he give that up?
he’s always saying he can’t be like superman and be nice to people because he isn’t superman, he’s human and therefore mortal, and if no one feared him, he’d be killed in a second.
so association with an internationally recognized organization is just what he should avoid to keep his status.
what made him decide to do it?
if you have any comic books you could suggest to help me understand better, that would be a great help. thanks.
The main reason he join was to keep an eye out on everybody. His Bat-cave could only handle a small part of the world so when he took that into consideration he decided to join and let go of his urban legend status.
He mainly wanted to keep an eye out on Bad guys but also wanted to formulate plans to stop any Justice League member in case they went berserk.
how can you tell you have reached UBER GEEK status ???
September 27th, 2008
Is it that you have a gadget or gizmo for just about ever daily task you do ???
that you have more things clipped to your belt than batman???
or you always have the cutting edge tech that just stumps everyone that see your digital wizardery
you know you're an uber geek when:
- you're over 30, never had a girlfriend, no intention of moving out and work a job that a half-illiterate 17 year old could do - - oh, comic book conventions, sci-fi shows preprogrammed on your tivo
or you're renovated your living room to look like the following:

How much is the joker figure wroth?
September 27th, 2008
Does any body got a toy fare mag or myb know how much the joker crime screen fig is wroth n the joker vs batman toys r us exclusive, they are both the heath ledger type figure.
Any sort of collectible is only worth as much as you can get someone to pay you for it. If you have any sort of Joker mechandise, I recommend that you sell it as soon as possible, because the interest in the Joker as a result of “The Dark Knight” is at a peak right now. Conversely, this is the worst possible time to try to by Joker memorabilia as an investment. Prices for collectibles are driven by demand, and demand for Joker junk is at its highest right now, but the market for such items will cool off soon, and the various geegaw and bijous will start commanding lower and lower prices. In five years, anything bought for top dollar now will be nearly worthless.
Batman: Gotham Knight Sneak Peek
September 27th, 2008
Batman: Gotham Knight is a 2008 animated direct-to-DVD anthology film of six animated short films set in-between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Directed by Bruce Timm, co-creator and producer of Batman: The Animated Series, the film’s six segments are written by Josh Olson, David Goyer, Brian Azzarello, Greg Rucka, Jordan Goldberg, and Alan Burnett. Each segment has its own writing and artistic style, just as numerous artists work in the same DC Universe. Deadshot, Killer Croc, and the Scarecrow have all been confirmed to appear in the film. Also, a trailer for the film features a creature that look like a giant bat, possibly Man-Bat.
The animated Batman DVD will look amazing, judging from the clips you can see in this promo reel. Batman: Gotham Knight will come out when Batman: The Dark Knight hits the big screen.
Sadly, the above video contains a few boring interviews, saying things like “Most of Batman’s adventures take place at night.” But the animation itself is great. The direct-to-DVD Batman anime is similar to The Animatrix, the DVD which tied in with Matrix sequels.

Batman Villans?
September 25th, 2008
I'm trying to write my own Batman fanfiction, and I'm trying to keep it true to the official storyline. I understand that overtime in Batman some characters have been killed off, come back from the dead, or certain writers have changed a few things here and there. So to avoide confusion I must ask what is the current status of the following Batman villans in the official DC universe. Are they deceased, detained, retired, active, or what?
Mr. Freeze
Poison Ivy
Bane
Two Face
Scarecrow
Jason Todd/Red Hood
Arthur Brown/Cluemaster
The Riddler
Bane
Black Mask
Hush/Thomas Elliot
Ras isn't coming back from the grave (again) unitl November. And everyone knows that the Joker is active (can you picture batman without the Joker) The Mad hatter I have no intention of using because he isn't exactly the kind of villan who fits the bill for what I'm going to write.
Considering that DC quite often publishes Batman graphic novels outside of the continuity of the regular Batman series, I wouldn't worry too much about the current status of the villains. They even have multiple Batman comic books series that work off of different timelines and styles running at the same time, so I don't think you need to worry about that too much.
Also, you seem to be missing the Joker, Clayface, the Mad Hatter, and Ra's Al Ghul off your list, unless you didn't plan on using them.

Batman Begins Limited Edition Gift Set?
September 23rd, 2008
Alright so I recently saw the Batman Begins gift set when I was surfing the web, and decided to see what the actual distributors had to say about it. So, I went to Warner Bros.com and saw the picture of the box set and saw that there is a USB drive. Now my question, if you own this gift set, does it come with a Batman Begins USB drive? Thank You. yes it does.
Which Batman figure to get.?
September 23rd, 2008
Right I can’t decide between two Batman figures… It’s for my boyfriend who is a Batman fan. He wants the Joker one and I spotted this Batmobile that I liked (and am sure he will like too) . If I get the Batmobile I have two to choose from. Please help me make up my mind…

by the way it’s not for playing purposes… lol x
Thanks guys!
as muchy as i hate the new batmobile , the Hotwheels one is cool. The third link!! The joker ones a bit shoddy, and the second one is a toy, but the second batmobile would make an awsome mantlepiece and a great collecters item!
